Types of Maharashtra State Candidates

Sr. No.	Types of Candidate	Eligibility requirements
1	Type A (Maharashtra State candidate)	Candidate Passing SSC (Std. X) and HSC (Std. XII) examination from a recognized institution in Maharastra State.
2	Type B (Maharastra Domiciled Candidate)	Candidate Passing SSC (Std. X) and/or HSC (Std. XII) examination from a recognized institution outside Maharastra state AND Father/ Mother of the candidate is domiciled in the state of Maharashtra.
3	Type C (Sons and daughters for central Govt. / Govt. of India Undertaking employee)	Candidate passing SSC (Std. X) and / or HSC (Std. XII) examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State. Note: Father / Mother of candidate is a central Govt. / Govt. Of India undertaking employee who is posted in Maharashtra and reported for duty before the last date for submission of application form.
4	Type D (Sons and daughters of Maharashtra State Govt./ Maharashtra State Govt. under taking employee reported for duty in Maharashtra state after completion of deputation periods at outside Maharashtra State.)	Candidate passing SSC (Std. X) and / or HSC (Std. XII) examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State. Note: Father / Mother of candidate is a Maharashtra Sate Govt. / Maharashtra Sate Govt. Undertaking employee who is posted in Maharashtra and reported for duty in Maharashtra before the last date for submission of application form.
5	Type E (Sons and daughters of Maharashtra state Govt. / Undertaking employee / Central Govt./ Govt. of India undertaking employee who is transferred to a place in another University area and the candidate intends to shift to the University area where the Father / Mother is posted)	Candidate passing SSC (Std. X) and HSC (Std. XII) examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State AND Father / Mother of the candidate is a State Govt./State Govt. Undertaking / Central Govt. / undertaking employee who is transferred to a place in another University area from the place of passing of qualifying examination of their children in Maharashtra and reported for duty before the last date for submission of application form.

Definition of Outside Maharashtra State candidate

Type for candidature for Outside Maharashtra State candidates (OMS)	Eligibility requirements
Type 0 150MS	Candidate Passing SSC (Std. X) and/or HSC (Std. XII) examination from a institution outside Maharashtra state. AND not satisfying any of the conditions stated in type B.C.D. % E above as regards to parents's status and should be eligible as per eligibility criteria stated in d of next page.

In brief,candidate will have type of candidature as 'Outside Maharashtra State' if candidate passes either SSC HSC or both the examinations from a collage outside Maharashtra state AND the candidate does not satisfy condition of being either of the Type B,C,D, or E Candidature.

Such candidates are only eligible for OMS quota seats.
